About me

I am Andrew Paterson and I bring 40 years of work experience in education, health and consultancy in the UK and abroad.   This has given me  a deep and evolving understanding of systems,  the pressures and expectations in the work place, and of  what drives and rewards.  I know how  structures and life in general can sometimes feel thwarting, and that we can feel that there are obstacles both within and outside ourselves.

 

I have been coaching in one form or other for many years. I have recently completed a 2-year Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching at the University of Warwick.  I have coached individuals in small and large teams.  I have worked in small companies, in large public sector organisations, and in a multinational corporation. My career has included many years of managing individuals, teams and projects and being responsible for team and individual performance

I have coached  a wide range of people who have brought a variety of issues and I bring a lively curiosity  and enthusiasm to the coaching space.  Whilst I am particularity interested in the challenges that  Middle Managers face in balancing the pressures of maintaining  Business as Usual and the pressing  need to develop or transform services, I enjoy working with anyone who commits to the process .
